Dec. 3rd, 2009 05:30 pmWell, the rash acted like it was getting better, then got worse. It actually woke me twice with itchiness! So, today I went to the doctor.
Her determination was that I am indeed having an allergic reaction that's gone somewhat systemic. So she has given me two new meds -- a stronger cream and Zantac. Zantac has antihistamine properties and works well at controlling itching with Claritin. So I'll be doing that twice a day for a few days. If it's not better by Monday, I'll go back and we're likely to try oral steroids. It would be so much easier if I weren't allergic to Benadryl.
Hopefully in two hours I will be much less itchy.
