We haven't done much this week except recover from the trip (which aggravated our lingering cold symptoms) and buy groceries. Well, I went to Costco and got heat packs (3 heat wraps per box, 3 boxes per pack, 13 packs) because there they cost half of what they cost anywhere else. I figure they might last to the holidays. I also gave two packs to a friend who is getting a hip replacement -- they make nice portable heating pads that don't slide off the sore spots.
We're having a heraldic get together tomorrow night to work on some baronial order names. The barony thought the orders were submitted several years ago (no evidence of this) and resubmitted them last year. Well they bounced in large part because they set a precedent. So now we need to get new order names. Unfortunately, there was quite the ranting at the barony meeting about how unreasonable "the heralds" were and how we should have registered them because they were submitted years ago (not, I've even explained that whoever said they submitted them didn't and they don't believe me *sigh*). I sent their Excellencies an e-mail letting them know how I felt after the meeting and I haven't heard back. We'll see.
On another note, I hate that going grocery shopping is "overdoing it." I don't lift anything more than a couple of pounds, but it's too much. Grrrr. So I'm in a bit of a foul mood this evening because I hurt on both sides!
But, on a good note, I've written to one of the people I wanted to have write an article for the Laurel web site. Not only did she say yes, but she is quite excited about it! I'm so glad when I can make people happy.
