a month late. In the last 24 hours, we've gotten over five inches of snow with another 3-6 expected tonight. Wonderful what can happen when a Pineapple Express meets an Artic Clipper and they breed storms. The snow was sufficiently thick and wet that it has stuck in the screens on our windows (only the bottom area, thankfully). We had kind of hoped to go to An Tir 12th night north of Seattle, but we're not stupid. If driving here is not fun, the Snoqualmie Pass (on I-90) will be a nightmare, possibly even intermittently closed. So we are staying home.
We went to the first dance practice here in Wealdsmere. Suffice it to say, I miss BMDL dance practice. Hopefully things will improve over time (or at least the dancemaster will get more organized). It had to be hard for him when three of the dancers (myself included) are much more experienced and knowledgeable than he is. Speaking of which, where is Phillip's online transcription of Playford and reconstructions he's done? Thx.
Not much else to say -- I got adventurous and rearranged the bedroom yesterday. I realized that I could put both dressers against one wall, center the bed more effectively in the room, be able to move the hamper from the middle of the floor and give myself more room between my dresser and the bed. I no longer need to sit on the bed to get into my dresser! The room isn't small, but we have a lot of furniture in it. However, all that rearranging kind of weirded out the kitties, they weren't too happy. Julia's only comment was "Wow." I suspect she's wondering if this heralds a rearrange everything in the apartment phase. (no -- most of it is too damned heavy!)
