Apr. 5th, 2005 12:52 pmNothing much is going on here. We went to Arts night last night - topic was Ballads and How to Run a Bardic Circle. The lady is really nice, but self-taught on all the Ballad stuff. Needless to say, much of it was incorrect. However, she and Julia had a really interesting conversation about the history of ballads, what ballads are known to be period, and what sources she can find ballads in. Hopefully that class will improve over time.
Julia is feeling a little under the weather -- she seems to have picked up a cold. Hopefully, she'll be able to kick it quickly.
I finally have my beloved Imitrex back! The doctor decided not to try me on any more new drugs since we know this works and we haven't yet found anything else that will. Yippee!! She also suggested magnesium supplements to see if they help reduce the frequency and severity of the migraines. I'm definitely up for trying it. After all, I can't lose -- either they get better or they don't. And if they don't we know what to do. If they do....
The kitties are doing better. I think Vandal's heartrate has come down; he's tolerating his thyroid meds pretty well. Sable's nose has stopped running and she's not nearly as sneezy as she was. We need to take them in next week for a followup.
I nearly have the first page of my four Great Book pages done. It's gonna look nice. BTW - for those of you who don't know, Michael's is having a 30% off sale on paint brushes and calligraphy supplies this week. Not a bad deal.
