May. 10th, 2005 11:15 amWell, just because that opportunity didn't work out doesn't mean others aren't right around the corner? Get that? No? Okay, let's try it again. After not getting one job yesterday, I sent out resumes for two others I saw. Well, one of them called me at 5 for a preliminary interview at 6. The contracting agency had someone lined up for the job who bailed at the last minute (paperwork in process last minute) because the expectations the company had differed from what the agency had. Well, the agency got my res and called right away. So he's setting up an interview for me.
This job is a little strange -- it will start out full-time for a month or so, then go down to part time. Why am I interested, you ask? Well, at 20-25 hours a week, it will still allow me to try to build a home business (or decide that's not the way I want to go and look for other full-time work). It will also allow me more time for my SCA projects.
Speaking of which, the local group here is psyched to have an important kingdom job in this neck of the woods. As far as attention from royalty goes, they are in much the same kind of shape Aethelmearc was in, except they don't have any big draw events like Pennsic. So they are feeling kind of neglected. This helps them feel like they are still remembered.
