May. 27th, 2005 04:54 pmWell, I survived the first week back at work. I'm exhausted, though I think that is much more likely due to going to see Sith last night.
I got an interesting call this week. Seems there's another company interested in interviewing me for a full-time job. I told them that I would go full-time for no less than $25/hr, depending upon benefits. I also let them know I was currently in a part-time contract at $30, but was interested in full-time work. They know I won't be available for a couple of weeks due to deadline, but are probably okay with it. I guess getting a job is like dating - no one wants you until you are taken, then everyone wants you.
Last week, when we got home from Crown, I grabbed my fanny pack out of the car and slung it on my shoulder, only to discover that it wasn't closed. So my Visor took a flight. Only the detachable cover was broken and the area around a button was a little cracked, but I know the circuitry got banged around too. So, instead of waiting for it to die (like two previous PalmPilots) I went ahead and ordered a replacement for my beloved Visor. Julia will then take the Visor with her to Costa Rica. Grumble.
Now we are getting ready for an event this weekend. I feel like we haven't stopped running for a few weeks. I think that is just tiredness talking.
