Nov. 29th, 2005 07:09 pmWell, we got some snow today. About 3-4 inches to be exact. While the city had lots of deicers out on the streets, when it was snowing, there was no way they could keep up. So the roads got slushy and slippery, which was not fun to drive on. And, given that we live on a rather steep hill, I was glad to be home. I cancelled my PT because I could see cars having all kinds of difficulty getting up the hill.
Julia leaves tomorrow for the AAA conference in DC. So it will be a quiet/lonely weekend. *Grmph* But she'll be back Sunday.
Well, I don't know when I will be going part-time again. While the plan is for that to start after the holidays, no one is confident that will be happening. Fortunately, my boss is getting other departments to chip in for the time I spend on their projects (i.e. if it is not an R&D product, someone else will get charged). This makes a lot of sense, since I am spending a not insignificant amount of time on manual updates for other departments. We'll see where this goes.
