Sep. 23rd, 2007 07:45 pmThis weekend was the Emprise of the Black Lion. It was wonderful going to the event, even if I did wimp and make Juliana take me to the hotel before the dancing. I just kept dozing off and needed to get and stay warm.
Countess E showed me the basics of drop spinning and a previous A&S Champion complemented me on getting my thread so even my first time. I've got a lot of work to do to actually learn to spin, but slow and steady is the way to get into it. Otherwise I get shooting pains in my shoulder (don't ask me how I know already). Hopefully this will be good for me at events. Now I've got to figure out what to do with all the thread I am likely to make. Hmmmm.
