Now for the real post
Dec. 18th, 2007 07:30 pmI had an appointment with a neurologist today. I had asked for this appointment from my pcp because I now have three separate neurological diagnoses and wanted to know if they were connected. Well, she sent me to a headache specialist -- note the most useful, but not the stupidest either.
Well, today this neurologist told me he couldn't help me, he does headaches only. In fact he kind of turned white at the prospect of me coming to him with a flare of reflex sympathetic dystrophy (in remission now for over a decade -- yeah!!!). He also said he didn't deal with dystonias (like what's up with my neck and shoulder). But he can recommend a couple of neurologists he thinks are likely to be helpful. I'm waiting to hear back from my pcp.
