Apr. 13th, 2008 11:15 amWe've finally gotten a break in the weather. Yesterday the temp was in the upper 60s (67, I think) and today we should break 70!!!! Next week our highs will only be in the 50s. Which does beat the highs in the 40s we've had for the past month (we should be at highs in the mid to upper 50s). There will be a slight chance of snow overnight a couple nights this week, but it's unlikely to hit us.
Despite the cold weather, I found some dandelions putting up flower buds yesterday. I dug them out!!!! If the weather is decent next weekend, I guess I have to go on dandelion patrol. While dandelion greens are nice in salads sometimes, I don't want them in my herb garden.
Today I am being a slug. Yesterday I spent over three hours raking and bagging winter detritus in the back yard. Couple that with a few hours of work in the front yard Thursday and Friday nights and I am one tired and sore person. So I'm taking it really easy today. Though I do plan to get outside and grill salmon for dinner.
