Ow, ow, ow, ow
May. 22nd, 2008 07:46 pmMonday night, we bought a wine rack that can hold up to 63 bottles. I put it together last night -- ow! It was a little heavy for me to get out of the box, but I got it together.
I then dissected the box to create a UV barrier on the end nearest the stairs. Ow! Scissors worked much, much better than a knife for dissecting the box along the folds.
Then I put our current wine bottles on the rack and sort of organizing them. We now have a wall full of post-it notes that correspond to where the bottles are on the rack. Grab a bottle and its post-it note and bring them upstairs. The "database" will then always be up to date.
Today, I did the final prep and cat-shepherding for doing brochure pictures for the new machine. Ow. Lots of reaching above my head and sliding things around that were almost too heavy. Then we worked on getting the photos. The guy who was actually taking the pictures rented a smoke machine to help highlight where the laser photo eyes were going for our pictures. Unfortunately, it didn't work very well. We got all the smoke we wanted, but the lasers wouldn't highlight.
And this afternoon, I needed to run back downstairs to get a few photos that didn't turn out the way I wanted for the manual. Ow. Too much reaching above my head and climbing ladders today.
I hope the Botox really starts working soon.
