Dec. 6th, 2008 04:51 pmToday has been one of those ucky, yucky dim gray days. Today we got nearly 10 minutes of sunshine (around 8:30 am)!! For the rest of the day it has looked rather twilight-ish. Add to that, sundown happens around 4:00 now; we've had a rather good day for hibernating.
I'm making scotch broth for dinner with Rhodes bread and for dessert, strawberry poundcake (think strawberry shortcake using pound cake instead of shortcake). I made the strawberry sauce this summer and froze it. The lamb, bread dough, pound cake, and strawberry sauce all came out of the freezer, partly because I was trying to free up some space. I need a chest freezer really badly (though I'll just fill that up and want another one).
