I'm home sick with a sore throat and earaches today, so I'm watching the inauguration. So far I am not impressed. The opening statements were incoherent; she was too enamored of the $50 words she was using to actually put together coherent thoughts. The invocation is not an invocation; he's giving a freaking sermon not offering a prayer. And I actually find what he is doing to be offensive. I can handle a prayer, but not the homily to God and a sermon on how to live. I like the simplicity of the Lord's Prayer; in this I am a traditionalist.

The instrumental piece was wonderful. It sounded like, and looked like, everyone playing was having fun!!!
