No rain today, but we did get a minor dust storm. The tops of the buildings a couple of blocks away disappeared (like in a fog). The hills across the valley were hidden behind brown smoggy-like air. And we have a dust storm warning into the night. We could really use some rain.
The funniest thing is it rained all around the city. The radio announcer said it looked like we were in a doughnut. Hmmrph.
Julia is helping set up for the anthropology conference her university is sponsoring. Of course, they would end up scheduling it at the end of finals week. Fortunately, Julia was able to reschedule her finals for last week and set up a take-home for one class. But that means she still has grading hell ahead of her as well as writing a paper for the conference as well as being techie in charge of things that go wrong. Sounds like fun, huh?
