Entropy or futility

The front yard is, er, was clean. I spent a couple of hours today raking up the pine needles and maple leaves. I didn't even get finished before there were leaves all over the place again. I did the best I could, but am left wondering why. Probably because I got tired of the yard looking like nobody loved our house (even though it was just cleaned up two weeks ago).

And now all I have to show for it is nothing but some very SORE shoulders and neck.

You do it so there will be fewer leaves to rake the next time than there would otherwise have been.

It's also good exercise. Hmm, maybe I should rake our leaves when they start falling - it'll be a different workout than Dance Dance Revolution. ^_^
