sue_n_julia*grumble* I seem to have developed an infection on the inner surface of my nose. It was sore Monday when the sinus drainage started, so I was CAREFUL when I needed to take care of the drainage. And took Sudafed for the first time in more than a year. Yesterday, the outer side of my nose was sore to the touch. Today it was visibly swollen and more of my nose was sore. So I got an urgent care appointment.
So now I'm on two antibiotics -- they want to hit it hard because MRSA is always a concern when the nasal passages are involved. Most infections of this type of staph. Let's say hi to yogurt for the next few weeks.
That's not the big news though. Unfortunately, I've gotten my parents' bad blood pressure genes, so I need to start monitoring it and follow up with my doctor. This means two things: no more Sudafed as they think that's why my BP was so high and I need to get off my ass and find a new doctor. I'm not going to bother with trying to stay at the previous practice -- I went to urgent care rather than go to the doctor's office. This is BAD!
