I discovered something today. If I manage to get to leave for work "on time" (i.e. meeting my goal of 7:15 instead of 7:30-7:35) and take a short (half-hour instead of a full hour) lunch, I can go to work and return home while it is still light out!!!! Just three weeks ago, I couldn't do that -- the sun wouldn't rise until ~7:30 and would set by 3:50. We're getting on toward spring now.
We sit here watching CNN election coverage. I wish I could get the picture-in-picture function to work; I'd like to be able to see the returns while I watch something else on TV because CNN just keeps repeating itself trying to fill air time.
Our lives are definitely a "if it's not one thing, it's another" lives. Julia's parents are on the mend, while my father just got sick. He's developed diverticulitis, which isn't terribly good. He seems to be responding to antibiotics, so perhaps he can avoid surgery (this time -- if he doesn't straighten up his diet...). *sigh*
