Most of you may have heard, but for those who haven't, Juliana was sent out on Vigil for elevation to the Laurel yesterday at An Tir's Kingdom A&S Competition. She is currently working out the details at to which event it will be at, what the vigil and ceremony will be like, and what she will be wearing.

Edit: The Laurel is for heraldic research. The King and Queen were very clear that they have heard from all over the Known World as well as from An Tir. They had considered elevating her on the spot, but decided that she had too many people from outside An Tir that would want to come. As of right now, it looks like May Crown (May 16-18 in Calgary, AB), An Tir/West War (July 2-5, Gold Beach, OR -- may need help getting people from the airport), and Coronation (July 17-19, Portland, OR) -- unless there are some Crown events not listed on the web calendar.

Vivat!!!!!!!!!

Please, Please keep me posted!! If I can pull it off, I want to try to be there--I would even be willing to speak for her as Laurel Queen of Arms like I did Istvan. If I can't get there, I at least want to send a letter.

I am so happy and excited about this! She so deserves it, and the order there is blessed to have her.

A Laurel for heraldry? Or something else?

Yes, primarily for heraldic research. Juliana is also very interested in dance, but since moving to An Tir she has been more active in the heraldic community.

Vivat!!!!

I'm so thrilled for her. And, yes, please do keep us posted on timing. I have no idea how practical it could be, but I'd like to at least give a try at finding a good fare.

I'm glad they decided to wait. I know I can't make it, even though I'd like to, but I'm sure plenty of other people will want to!

Yay! I had heard about the vigil at Barony Meeting but didn't have all the details.

Their Majesties are wise in knowing that people from far away would like to attend :)

Thanks for the offer. We're still figuring everything out, but we'll think of something. We did mention the party at Pennsic, right?
