I have just had it forceably brought home to me that we are currently living in the land of perpetual twilight. Okay, not really, but we had to use indoor lights (and headlights) all day because the clouds were so thick. This on a day that was supposed to be dry.

I really want to find out what Pacific Northwesterners think dry means. My idea of dry is the absence of wet -- soaking, damp, whatever. Well, the weatherman said we would be dry today, but, even from the fifth floor, I could tell the ground was damp. That is not dry in my opinion. If it was the first time this happened, I wouldn't be complaining. But it's not. And the last time, the weatherman had the gall to actually say we had a dry day!!!

Plans are on track for us coming back during Christmas. We'll spend most of a week in Pittsburgh before visiting my family, go to Julia's family, then spend a day in Pittsburgh before coming home. Hopefully, we'll get to see everyone in Pittsburgh during that time.
