Things are looking up
Jan. 21st, 2005 03:19 pmThe snow's almost gone -- YEA!!! The thermometer has been above 40 every day since Monday; in fact, we hit a record high yesterday. Don't think we will break it today. Anyway, we are getting the first sunshine in over two weeks, so that's nice.
Nothing much else it going on. We went to Dance Practice last night. I didn't do much dancing as I sprained my back last weekend (nothing serious, just painful). Talked to the Baronial scribal mistress and she thinks there might be enough interest to formally create a scribe's guild with meetings and everything!! The culinary guild here is quite active; they meet once a month for a topic discussion and have a themed potluck once a month (this month is Spanish cuisine!). So we are settling in, finally, and getting to know the people here.
