Mar. 4th, 2005 01:03 pmThings went great at the Wednesday meeting. I'm gonna follow-up with the guy on Monday. It's really cool -- he wants to get me involved in doing presentations and other stuff like that in part to help me get exposure. Of course, he would get a cut off the top, but if he is willing to help me drum up business (my weakest point) then I'll pay for the help. And he needs to be able to send clients to a writer, so we both win.
Dance practice last night went somewhat better. I think part of the problem is the DM is a little overwhelmed and intimidated by having three dancers so much better and experienced (and serious) than he is. He actually asked Julia if she wanted to teach Hyde Park (even though he taught it a couple of weeks ago). He told her that he would have to get into his cheat sheets to do it and she could do it off the top of her head. And later that night, when I suggested, jokingly, that we set up a signup sheet for requests, he said that he didn't know half as many dances as we did. So, that's progress. Let's hope it continues.
