Jul. 13th, 2005 06:34 pmToday was an interesting day. We had a meeting about making sure one department that deals with installation gets all the docs it needs from my department so they don't keep writing their own and risk having docs out of synch.
The result is that I am currently writing the document control procedure and am the logical document control person for all our technical documents. But, that is more than a part-time job (as is making sure all past projects are properly controlled). On the one hand, that wouldn't be so great for starting my business off soon; on the other hand, it's likely to lead to a permanent job (or should).
I think this is a tribute to how pleased they are with the work I'm doing (and how little beyond the minimum their past writers did).
