Nov. 17th, 2005 07:35 pmThe last few days have been pure hell. When I walked in for physical therapy on Monday, the therapist asked me how I felt. I said, "If I were a horse this weekend, Julia would have shot me." Well, yesterday I told him, "Yesterday, if I were a horse, I would have shot me." I had spasms starting at the bottom of my right shoulder going along the shoulder blade and across the top of my shoulder and up my neck. So the physical therapist and an intern worked on my shoulder for a long while. Seems that my C7 vertebra is being pulled to the right so we need to loosen those muscles. I don't know if that is causing or being caused by the spasms; I just know it hurt bad enough to have me whimpering Tuesday.
Today was much, much better, if you discount the fog that didn't lift until late morning and set in by sunset. Which, by the way, is circa 4:20 here. By the solstice, the sun will be setting BEFORE 4:00 -- like 3:45 - 3:50. Eeek!
Julia's doing better. Still coughing, but that's just her. She's caught a bit of a head cold, but seems to be fighting it off slowly. I want her to get a flu shot given that she's already had bronchitis and she's being exposed to lots of students living in crowded conditions. So far she's made no attempt to get one. Grumble.
Otherwise nothing much is happening. There's an event this weekend that I'm blowing off. It's not our local group, but is one of the nearby groups. But, I have a lot of prep for my LB meeting this weekend and I haven't felt like doing it this week (I wonder why, she says sarcastically).
