Tentative closing date

Originally we were tentatively scheduled to close on the house today. That didn't happen because negotiations over the house inspection took so long.

We had a little excitement today. I called the insurance company to reschedule the start of our policy only to find that they didn't have the information about our mortgage or mortgage broker that our agent was supposed to give them. Turns out they had called her and she told them she didn't have the info but they never noted that down (they thought they were still waiting for a callback). Neither of them called me to let me know that there was an issue. *sigh*

I talked to the mortgage broker myself today to make sure he gets the info to the insurance company. I also asked him when the appraisal would be done -- by Wednesday is his guess. So things are really moving.

We expect to be on schedule to close for early next week. Whee!!!!!
