Yesterday was lovely but HOT!!! I saw one thermometer that read 112 degrees in British Columbia! Oh, did I mention that Julia and I went on a road trip to Canada yesterday?

It was fun. The border is only a couple of hours away (depending on which crossing you want to use), so a day trip to Canada is quite doable. We drove through Kettle Falls, crossed the border, backtracked to Nelson, crossed the lake on the ferry, then wended our way back home via Couer d'Alene. All in all the trip was about 8 hours.

But that's left me quite sore and tired today! And not from sunburn either. I hate this.

I've started working again on Richenda's Kitchen Herbal. Granted, it's very early -- I only have two herbs written, but most of the research is done. I just need to make myself work consistently on it. I'm writing it in a medieval style but including modern information -- particularly the safety info.
