Nov. 4th, 2007 09:02 amThis weekend has not gone quite as planned, but has been relatively nice anyway. We went to the Inland Arts and Crafts show Friday night. It had most of the same artists as last year -- not surprising given that it is a juried show. We saw lots of stuff we would have like to have gotten people for Christmas, but it was glass and/or ceramic. After our experiences last year, we aren't doing the fragile gifts this year. However, we did find some interesting non-ceramic/non-glass that we picked up for people. I also got a lovely leather handbag. I still have sticker shock, even though it was marked down and I know it will last for years and years. I am trying to tell myself that I have spend more on all my handbags/totes in last five years than on this one and this one will last longer than five years, but it's not entirely helping.
We were planning to go to the Folk Festival but neither of us were particularly feeling up to it. I woke with a headache with some migraine-ish qualities and Julia just felt kind of crappy. By afternoon both of us were feeling better, but still not up to dealing with serious crowds. So we went for a nice drive around Lake Coeur d'Alene. It was very, very pleasant.
