I made a dungeness crab pseudo-casserole tonight. I started with two yellow potatoes, diced into bite-sized pieces, oiled, and spiced with smoked paprika, garlic, salt, and pepper. I added chopped onions, sliced mushrooms, and carrots. I baked that until the potatoes were soft (though they didn't come out evenly, sigh). I shelled the crab, shredded the meat and added it to the casserole. Then I made a cheese sauce from mozzarella, cheddar, and brie (yes, brie!) spiced with tumeric, cumin, garlic, salt, and pepper (and a little flour for thickening and fluid control). I added that to the casserole and baked it for a while longer.
