An Tir's loss

An Tir lost a beloved herald this weekend. Ciaran Cluana Ferta passed on July 20, 2008 at approximately 2:30 a.m. -- at An Tir's coronation event. He suffered a massive heart attack and died shortly after reaching the hospital. He spent his last day surrounded by friends, doing the field heraldry he loved.

Most of you on this list never met him, but some of you may know of him from the time he spend at Lion's Blood. Many heralds in An Tir think of him as their teacher and mentor. When I moved here, many people welcomed me, but Ciaran made sure I started to think of An Tir as home.

He will be dearly missed.
