Getting settled back into the swing of things was surprisingly difficult. Part of it was the cold we came home with and part of it was the clingly cats. It's difficult to put stuff away (or to do laundry) with a cat in your lap.

Work continues to go well for me -- in fact, I'm staying full-time until further notice. While this means my client is running through his budget kind of quickly, I am producing for him and he recognizes that the work needs to be done. Their new product still hasn't stabilized (i.e. the engineers are still fiddling and adding new features) and they are looking at bringing out a new one. This time, they want me in on the ground floor so it will be well documented. I can do that!

Julia is still maundering on with her cold too. We're going through sudafed at a good clip right now and tissues -- well, we need more tissues; there aren't enough in the world. I actually think that I am on virus #2 and that's the one she got. She never had the throat thing that hit me like lightning and I didn't initially have the runny, congested nose (one side runny, the other congested -- real fun).

The kitties still aren't sure we aren't going to leave again. Vandal wants to just be on one of us all the time. In fact, when I get home from work, the first thing he does is climbs up on me to reassure himself that I'm back. Sable does her walk-by pet-me, pet-me, then settles down.

Glad to hear everyone made it home safe and sane (relatively speaking).
