Everyone who believes in justice and letting people live their lives the way they want to.

This is not how I had hoped the election would turn out. Already G. W. Bush Jr. has attacked our freedom from religion by trying to impose his own morality on us. Now the American public has given him a second chance and increased the number of Republicans in Congress to do it. At least he still lacks a 2/3 majority in the Senate for ramming constitutional amendments down our throats.

Unfortunately that means that those of us in the minority (whether it be racial, gender, or other) still must suffer under his oppressive regime. Even worse, he now believes he has a mandate to continue imposing his religion-based morals on the rest of the United States. And he doesn't recognize that there are other valid religions besides his flavor of Christianity.

Sorry for the vitriol today -- I am just tired to death of the Republicans behaving *badly* and claiming the moral high ground. And the news media helping them do so.

I'll try to post something later today about our lives instead of my frustrations.

Not much of note has been happening lately. I haven't heard anything about the contract extension, or the two jobs I've applied for. It would have been nice getting a message acknowledging my resume for the one. (I got it for the other). So, I am still in a wait and see.

Meanwhile, I am trying to get some other projects moving. I've pulled out my scribal stuff and am trying to relearn the calligraphy hands I knew. I am also practicing the harp again. Both these projects are a little derailed by a pulled shoulder muscle or something. But I'm doing them slowly.

Julia and I are working on integrating into the local group (Wealdmere). They have an arts night on Mondays, but that's a little tough to make. It moves around a bit, so we have to keep checking on where it is and Julia usually brings home work too. But we may be going to an event this weekend (if she can get caught up on grading from this week).

I seem to have lost the update that had my new e-mail address on it. We now have DSL and have ditched Earthlink (YEA!!!). So my new e-mail is richendaATcet.com. Julia still has her alumni address.
